Diakhaby: "We have to give our all against RC Deportivo"

Valencia CF centre back Mouchtar Diakhaby reflected on the defeat to Real Betis at Mestalla.

THE RESULT

“It’s a tough defeat to accept. Sometimes you have days like this; we know we have to improve, but we gave it our all. We had some clear chances in which their goalkeeper did very well. We created many opportunities, but we couldn’t get the win, that’s just how it is.”

HIS FITNESS

"I haven't played 90 minutes in almost 7 months and I really felt the humidity. My teammates who have played two games in a row noticed it even more, but there's no excuse -because it affects both teams."

CONTINUING TO GROW

"We need to pick up the pace and try to help the team as much as possible. There's an adjustment period required, but I think there's a good dynamic here. I have to improve, like the whole team, and I want to keep growing."
